Description
Broomfield Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 17th century, which has been altered and extended in the 19th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a roof made of handmade red plain tiles. The house has three bays facing east, featuring a central stack that creates a lobby entrance, and it stands two storeys tall. To the right, there is a single-storey 19th-century extension that includes an external stack at the end and small lean-tos on either side. The main house has a three-window range of 19th-century sashes with glazed margins, along with one 20th-century casement window in the right extension. The entrance features a 19th-century door set in a gabled porch. The ridges of both the main house and the extension are adorned with pierced crested tiles.
