TL 51 NE HATFIELD BROAD OAK

4/2 Stable block approx 15 m east of Barrington Hall. GV II

Stable block, now house. c.1734. Of red brick with stone dressings and slate hipped roof. Of 2 storeys with stone string band and stone rusticated quoins at ground storey level. The east elevation has a 7 window range of double hung sash windows with small panes and 2 large, semi-circular arched doors with stone rusticated quoins and arch. The south elevation has a gauged and rubbed brick niche on the first floor.
