Description

No. 12 on Broad Street is a 17th-century cottage. It has a timber frame and is plastered, with black weatherboarding on the exposed gable end and the first-floor wall on the side. The cottage is two storeys high and features a thatched roof that is half-hipped at the north end. The front of the building has a pair of horizontal sliding casement windows with small panes above another similar pair, along with a central boarded front door. There is a small, central ridge line stack. Inside, you can find substantial square section exposed floor joists and chamfered spine beams.
