Description
Little Tudors is a house dating from the late 16th century, and possibly earlier. It is constructed from timber framing and plaster, with two low storeys and a thatched roof that is hipped at the southeast end and gabled at the northwest end. The house features small ridge line stacks and a larger stack at the ends. The front has an off-centre 20th-century gabled porch with a peg-tiled roof, set on a high brick plinth. The windows are 20th-century timber casements with diamond leaded lights. The structure is complex, with heavy unjowled posts and straight internal wall bracing at the southwest end. Inside, there are remnants of a crown post roof with soot blackening, cambered tie beams, and curved bracing in the centre. There is a probable small former open hall with an ancillary single-aisled outbuilding at the end.
