Description

This barn, located approximately 90 metres southwest of Porters Farmhouse, dates from around 1600. It is timber framed and features weatherboarding on the west elevation, while the rest of the structure is cement-rendered. The roof is covered with corrugated asbestos and has a hipped design, with a lower pitch than the original due to the asbestos cladding. The barn consists of four bays and does not have a midstrey. Notable architectural features include jowled storey posts, arched braces to the tiebeams, and edge-halved and bladed scarfs in the top plates. There is also a later lean-to attached to the east wall.
