3/28 Barn approx 90 metres SW of Porters Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, c.1600. Timber framed, weatherboarded on W elevation, remainder cement- rendered, roofed with corrugated asbestos. 4 bays, no midstrey. Jowled storey posts, arched braces to tiebeams, edge-halved and bladed scarfs in top plates. Roof rebuilt above tiebeam level to lower pitch than original for asbestos cladding, hipped. Later lean-to against E wall.
