Description
Longs Cottage and South Longs Cottage are a pair of semi-detached cottages built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick and plaster, topped with a roof made of 'Roman' tiles. The cottages have a double-pile plan featuring a central chimney stack located in the partition wall. Each house is two stories tall, with Longs Cottage showcasing 19th-century sash windows that have horned corner-joints and crown glass. In contrast, South Longs Cottage has 20th-century sash windows that lack horned corner-joints and use modern float glass. The cottages are listed for their group value. Each cottage also has a flat-roofed single-storey extension added to the rear in the 20th century.
