Description

This is a late 17th-century lobby-entrance house located on The Street, High Roding. It is timber-framed and has been plastered, with a tiled roof. The building has four bays, including a chimney bay with a double axial chimney stack positioned one bay from the southwest end. A single-storey extension was added to the rear of the southwest end in the 20th century. The visible windows are three 20th-century metal casement windows, along with a 20th-century glazed door. The roof includes three catslide dormers, each with 20th-century metal casement windows, and is a gambrel design. Internally, no wall framing is exposed, and access to the roof is not possible. A notable feature is an axial beam with stop-chamfered spine beams and run-out stops.
