Description
This is a late 16th century timber-framed and plastered house, originally known as Poor's Houses, located on the south side of The Street in Manuden. It is two storeys high with attics. The upper storey of the north front juts out, supported by curved brackets. Originally, the upper storey also jutted out on the south front. The building has six windows, featuring various casement windows, and incorporates three doorways. The roof is tiled and includes three gabled dormers on the north front. A 17th century external chimney stack is located at the east end of the building.
