Description
Cleave House is a mid-16th century timber-framed and plastered house built on a half-H plan. It has been considerably altered and renovated in the 20th century. The north front features projecting wings, with the space between them built out at ground storey level. The windows are leaded casements. The roof is tiled, and the wings on the north front retain original carved bargeboards. An external chimney stack is located at the east end, and a later addition with a catslide roof, weather-boarded on the ground storey, is situated at the west end.
