Description
No. 34 North Street is an early 19th-century house that is timber framed and plastered, featuring 20th-century decorative pargetting. The building has a gabled roof covered with peg tiles, which includes two stacks positioned behind the ridge line and 19th-century decorative bargeboards on the gable ends.
On the first floor, there are two window openings; one contains a 20th-century small pane casement, while the other features a double hung sash window with small panes. The ground floor showcases a central doorcase with an open pediment supported by scroll brackets, leading to the original six raised and fielded panelled door. Flanking the door are two double hung sash windows, also with small panes. At the rear, there is a large lean-to extension with a slate roof. The house is included in the register primarily for its group value.
