Description

This is a pair of early 19th-century houses, originally part of a terrace of four. The houses have a timber frame and were plastered, with black weatherboarding on the northeast side and up to the window sill level on the front. The roof is of Welsh slate, with a gambrel shape. They present as a handled pair, sharing a central ridgeline stack, with one window each. Each house has a dormer window with a lean-to roof, containing two casement lights, each with six panes of glass. Double-hung sash windows with two vertical glazing bars are found on each floor, and a 20th-century entrance door is set within the original moulded surround. The rear elevation, which has not been inspected internally, is largely unaltered, with a Welsh slate roof and black weatherboarding, also featuring an outshut. The rear elevation also contains a two-light casement window with six panes on each floor, and a small fixed stair window over a brick lean-to roofed with Welsh slate.
