Description

Milestones Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and features left external red brick chimney stacks that are off centre to the right and left. The cottage has one storey and attics, with three gabled dormers and a buttress on the left bay. There are three light casement windows to the left and two light casements to the right of the porch. The porch is a 20th-century addition, enclosed and topped with a slanting red tiled roof, and includes a 20th-century panelled door with a side light. At the rear, there is a wing that is built of brick and weatherboarding.
