Description
Squires Cottage is a cottage that dates from the 18th or 19th century, or possibly earlier, with later alterations. It has a timber-framed structure, with weatherboarding on the returns and first floor, and a plastered ground floor. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. There are off-centre rear and right external red brick chimney stacks. To the right, there is a later single-storey extension with a grey slate roof, featuring a central door and three light windows. The main range of the cottage is two storeys with attics, and it has two gabled dormers with 19th-century two-light casements. On the first floor, there are three 19th-century two-light casements. The ground floor has two small paned two-light casements on the left and two small paned horizontal sliding sashes on the right, with a boarded door situated between the two left windows. The cottage is part of a group that includes the Church and the surrounding buildings.
