Description

This guide post, located on the north verge of the Colchester Road to the east of the junction with Ravens Green Lane in Little Bentley, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and was produced by the Maldon Ironworks. The post is circular in shape and features a flat semi-circular finial that displays the inscription "Parish of Little Bentley. E.C.C. stick no bills." An arm extends from the post, indicating the distances to Ravens Green (1 mile) and Great Bromley (2½ miles).
