Description
The Field House is a house with origins in the 17th century, featuring alterations and additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, topped with a red plain tiled roof. A central red brick chimney stack is present, along with an extension to the right that has a hipped grey slate roof and its own chimney stack. The building has two storeys and a parapet, with a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, including a round-headed window in the center on the first floor. The right extension has a single window range, all equipped with shutters. A central flat-headed porch with moulded capitals on the columns leads to a six-panelled door. Additionally, there is a 19th-century cast iron pump attached to the rear wall. Inside, notable features include 18th-century vertically boarded and panelled doors.
