Description

Weeley War Memorial is located on the south side of the junction of Bentley Road and Clacton Road. It features a rough-hewn Portland stone wheel-head cross that stands on a tapering plinth. The plinth has an inscription that reads "REMEMBER THE MEN OF WEELEY WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 – 1919" followed by ten names, and the phrase "PASS FRIENDS ALLS WELL." On one side of the plinth, there is another inscription that notes "1939 – 1945" along with twelve names.

The memorial is set within a small paved area. At the rear, there is a stone wall with four low piers, and at the front, six small stone posts support a chain.
