Description
64 and 66 London Hill are a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. They are timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a red plain tiled roof and featuring a red brick chimney stack at the rear of the ridge. The cottages have a rear catslide lean-to and stand two stories tall. The front has a two-window range with various small-paned vertically sliding sashes and casements. On the ground floor to the left, there is a 19th-century three-light shop bay supported by ornate cast iron brackets. The left side has a vertically boarded door with a moulded surround and a flat canopy on brackets, while the right side has a 20th-century vertically boarded door. Inside, notable features include original vertically boarded doors with ironmongery, a small cast iron fireplace on the first floor, and a side purlin roof with clasping collars.
