Description

Two headstones located approximately 6 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Mary the Virgin date from the early 18th century. The southern stone is for Rose Hatch and features scrolled sides with three curves at the top, along with a central cherub holding a trumpet, possibly dating to 1709. The adjacent western stone is larger, has a curved and moulded head, and its inscription was covered by lichen at the time of the resurvey.
