Description

No. 13 North Street is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It has a timber frame with pebble dash plastering and batten decoration. The roof is a red plain tiled gambrel style, featuring three catslide dormers. There are red brick chimney stacks located on the left and off-centre to the right. The cottage is one storey with attics and has a three-window range of two-light small-paned casements. The entrance features a 20th-century part-glazed door with a flat canopy supported by brackets. Inside, notable features include the original staircase around the chimney, vertically boarded doors—some with iron strap hinges and others with butterfly hinges—and a cast iron fireplace.
