Description

This is a cottage, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is timber-framed and clad in weatherboards, with a red plain tiled roof. A restored external chimney stack made of red brick is set to the road face on the left, and an off-centre chimney stack is located on the right. The cottage has one storey with attics, featuring three gabled dormers each containing a small-paned casement window. The left and central sections have small-paned vertically sliding sash windows, with pentice boards above. There are two doors between these windows, each sheltered by a flat canopy supported on brackets. The right-hand side features an 18th-century shop bay with a moulded cornice and a four-panelled door, again with a flat canopy on brackets.
