Description

This boundary marker post dates from the 19th century and is made of cast iron. It stands approximately 18 inches tall and features a low square design with a circular moulded head. The base of the post is adorned with moulded letters "ST. B.H." and a Coat of Arms, which relate to St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London. This is the only known surviving marker post on the old sea wall of Ramsey Wade, although two were still present in 1978.
