Description
The former coach house and stables, located approximately 30 metres north of Bradwell Lodge, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, sitting on a brick plinth, and features a red pantiled roof. The building is one storey with a loft, and its west gabled face includes bargeboards and a pendant. There are double vertically boarded doors with strap hinges and pightle hooks, as well as a vertically boarded loft door that has two light side lights and a pentice board above. On the south face, there is another vertically boarded door with a pentice board over it, accompanied by two small paned vertically sliding sash windows with moulded surrounds and pentice boards above. Above these windows, there are three small lights. Inside, the building features chamfered bridging joists and a side purlin ridgeboard roof. Additionally, there is a Sun Insurance Plaque on the exterior.
