Description

Mill Cottage is a cottage dating from the 18th to 19th century. It features a Gault faced exterior and has hanging grey tiles on the return. The roof is made of grey slate, and there is a rear chimney stack. The building has two storeys, with a single storey extension to the left. On the first floor, there are two windows, while the ground floor has three windows, all of which are small pane casements and include vertical and horizontal sliding sashes. There is a boarded door to the left. Inside, there are original vertically boarded internal doors and a newel staircase. The left extension has vertically boarded single and double doors, and the left workroom window is adorned with four mullions. The cottage has group value with Wickham Place, Mill House, and the nearby bridge.
