Description

Wickham Place Farmhouse is a red brick house, originally an outbuilding for Wickham Place, dated 1705 according to a modern plaque. It has a hipped roof covered in red pantiles, a moulded and dentilled eaves cornice, and a central red brick chimney stack. The house is a long, narrow range with a 20th-century extension to the rear right. The front has eight small-paned, vertically sliding sash windows with moulded surrounds, panelled shutters and iron shutter catches. To the right of the windows is a 2-panel, 2-light door with a moulded surround, brackets and a flat canopy. A further 20th-century small-paned door is situated to the right, featuring a fluted surround, a frieze with a patera and a flat canopy. Three moulded head roundels are present on the front, with five similar roundels on the rear wall. A 20th-century door with a moulded surround and flat canopy is also on the rear wall.
