Description
Chase House is a former mill house that has been converted into flats. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and was originally a watermill that has since been demolished. The building features a timber frame with a red brick facade and a red plain tiled roof, which is now hipped to the left. There are two red brick chimney stacks. The structure is two storeys high and has a three-bay range with a central band to the right and a pilaster to the left, with the brickwork displaying black headers. The left range consists of two bays. The first floor has a window arrangement of one window to the left and three to the right, while the ground floor has a two to three window arrangement, all featuring small paned vertically sliding sashes. The ground floor windows on the right are tripartite with segmental heads, while those on the left have gauged brick arches. There is a door located at the rear of the building, which is plastered and has rusticated quoins.
