Description

This is an 18th-century house, one of a pair with number 15, located on Sewardstone Road. The house is constructed of brown brick with a pantiled roof hidden behind a parapet. It has three storeys, and a two-storey red brick canted bay window to the left and centre. The top floor features three sash windows with glazing bars, set within reveals and topped by red cutter brick flat arches. A dummy window is present on the right-hand side of the first floor. The front door comprises six panels, four of which are fielded, with two glazed panels above, a traceried fanlight, an arched reveal, a narrow surround, and consoles supporting an open pediment. The building is included in the register for its group value, reflecting its contribution to the character of the area when viewed alongside number 15.
