Description
Nos 2 and 3 South Place are a pair of buildings dating from the 16th or 17th century, with alterations made over time. The ground floor is constructed from colourwashed brick, while the first floor features stucco. The roof is tiled and has a double ridged design with two gables on the right side elevation. The building stands two storeys tall, with exposed angle timbers on the first floor. There are two early sliding casement windows with glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor has a moulded continuous hood above two flush-set sash windows, one of which also has glazing bars. The hood projects on cut brackets over a central door. Nos 1 to 3 South Place form a group.
