Description
Thrift Hall is a building located on Sewardstone Road, dating from 1767, with early 19th-century alterations. The exterior features pebbledash and a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. It stands two storeys high and has five sash windows with marginal glazing bars. The entrance is centrally placed and consists of a half-glazed door with a fanlight, sheltered by a Greek Doric porch that has fluted columns, guttae, and triglyphs on the entablature. To the south, there is a slightly recessed lower wing that is two windows wide, featuring glazing bars and a six-panel door on the right, which is accompanied by a rectangular fanlight. This door is framed by a reveal and a surround of reeded Doric pilasters, topped with an entablature that also includes triglyphs and guttae.
