Description

This is an 18th-century house located on York Hill in Loughton. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a roof of handmade red clay tiles. The house is aligned approximately northwest-southeast, with chimney stacks at each gable end. A 20th-century flat-roofed extension projects from the rear. The two-storey southwest elevation features a central door with six flush panels, covered by a shallow tiled hood. Above the door are two double-hung sash windows with sixteen panes on each floor. Dentils are present under the eaves. The house forms a group with the adjacent buildings at numbers 109, 111, 113, 115, and 117 York Hill.
