Description
Ash Green is a house built in the early and late 19th century. It features stucco that imitates stone blocks and has a slate roof. The building has a complex plan aligned approximately northeast to southwest, with a southeast aspect. It consists of a two-storey section that is hipped to the southwest and gabled to the northwest, with one internal chimney stack in the southeast pitch of the roof and one external chimney stack against the northeast gable. There is a two-storey wing extending to the northwest with a hipped roof, a single-storey wing with attics extending to the northeast, and a lean-to extension at the end. Additionally, there is a two-storey extension in the northern angle and later extensions to the northeast.
On the southeast elevation, the ground floor features a bay of double-hung sash windows, a trellised porch with a tented canopy, and two double-hung sash windows with 12 lights and moulded labels. The first floor includes a group of three lights with two-centred arched heads and a moulded label, a similar single light with a label, and a similar double light in a flat-roofed dormer. The northeast extension is made of red brick up to the first-floor level, with weatherboarding above.
