Description
The kitchen garden walls, dating from the early to mid-18th century, are located approximately 220 meters northwest of Copt Hall in the civil parish of Epping Upland. Constructed in Flemish bond brick, the walls feature tile brick coping and have pilasters at regular intervals. The internal walls display lozenges of blue brick. Stone-coped piers flank 18th-century wrought-iron gates with scrolled ironwork on the west side. The southern gateway is also flanked by piers with ball finials and features decorative ironwork and an overthrow above the gates. The enclosed area measures approximately 120 by 90 meters.
