Description
The kitchen garden wall immediately west of Ewhurst House dates from the late 18th century to the 19th century. This large rectangular area is enclosed by a high wall made of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring a plinth that is double in some sections. The wall has buttresses at regular intervals and corner piers, topped with a weathered slate capping. At the west end, there is a wide opening flanked by piers, which supports a stone curb for wrought-iron railings and a central double gate. Additionally, there is a wider gap at the east end that is associated with the house.
