Description
Abbots Wells and Walls End Cottage is a timber-framed house that dates from the 16th, 18th, and 20th centuries. It has a structure of one and a half to two bays, featuring a shafted stack in the half bay. The house has been extended and reclad during its middle period. It stands two storeys high with fairly regular window arrangements. The roof is thatched, with half-hipped ends and eaves that are slightly raised above the upper lights. The single-storey modern end blocks have tiled roofing. The building showcases an exposed arch-braced massive frame, with brickwork infill and other types of walling, and it has a stepped plinth. The windows are casements, and there are two modern gabled porches made of brickwork.
