Description

This is a cast iron pump from the late 19th century, located approximately 20 metres south-southwest of Mayfield Farmhouse, against the north wall of a lean-to extension at the eastern end of a barn. The pump features a cap with a fluted dome and a fluted spike finial. The upper barrel is also fluted. On the lower barrel, there is a raised device that is corroded, possibly depicting a lion, along with corroded raised lettering that may read "E.J. Lindon." The handle of the pump ends in a knop.
