Description

Meadhams is a 16th-century house located on Churchgate Street. The west front is two storeys high with attics, featuring a five-window range. The roof is peg-tiled and hipped, with red brick chimney stacks positioned at the north and south. The eaves are coved and plastered. A porch is situated in the third bay to the south, featuring a curved leaded top and fluted pilasters with triglyphs on either side. The porch contains a six-panelled door. There is a pair of small-paned sash windows to the south, a Serliana window to the left of the porch (complete with external shutters), and then a further pair of small-paned sash windows. All of the sash windows are in exposed boxes.
