Description
Berwick Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 15th century or earlier, with additions from the 16th and 17th centuries and alterations and refacing from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed with a timber frame and rough render, featuring plain red tiled double range gabled roofs at the front. The house has two storeys and a three-window range of three-light Gothick windows. There is a central moulded wooden band and a central nailed plank and muntin Gothick door with a light above it. An off-centre red brick chimney stack is present, along with bargeboards on the gables that have heavy moulded brackets. Inside, the house boasts many stop-chamfered beams and exposed timbers. The building includes a Hall with a Crownpost roof and a Kitchen or Brewhouse.
