Description
Nos 42 and 43 on Berwick Lane are cottages that date from the 18th century or earlier. They are constructed with a timber frame and are covered in weatherboarding. The roof is made of red plain tiles and features three gabled dormers and one flat-headed dormer, with 19th-century casement windows in the dormers. The cottages have one storey and attics, and there is a three-window range of 19th-century casements on the front. There are two plain boarded doors and three red brick chimney stacks. To the left, there is a single-storey extension with a pantiled roof, which includes a boarded door, a casement window, and a rear chimney stack.
