Description
This is a 19th-century gateway located approximately 7 metres north of New Oak Lodge, which was formerly associated with the now-demolished Debden Hall. The gateway features piers made of plastered brickwork and stone, with wrought iron gates that include some cast iron elements. There are three rusticated piers, each about 4 metres high, topped with ball finials. The pair of carriage gates measures 1.77 metres in width, while the foot gate is 1.17 metres wide. The design is characterized by scrollwork, stylized fan motifs, and foliate termini.
