Description

Lightfoots is an early 17th-century house located on Epping Road in Roydon. Originally timber-framed and partially weatherboarded, sections of the exterior were later clad in red brick. The roof is covered with red plain tiles. The house has a roughly L-shaped plan and two storeys. It features a variety of windows, including original leaded casements on the south of the main range, alongside sash windows. A brick range incorporates pilasters on the first storey. Single-storey extensions were added in the 19th century. The original brick chimney stack is notable for its three diagonal shafts and one semi-octagonal shaft.
