Description

Baldocks is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, with a 19th-century red brick front on the south elevation. The roofs are gabled and covered with peg tiles. The building has a complex plan, primarily L-shaped, with a two-storey block in the internal angle that has a black boarded gable. The 19th-century south front includes paired double-hung sash windows beneath segmental brick arched heads, along with a 20th-century lean-to extension that has a gabled porch. The other windows are 20th-century casements with leaded lights, and there is a ridge line stack on the western and later range. The house has two bays, flat section joists, unjowled posts, and some reused timber.
