Description
Rivett's Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 16th century, which incorporates parts of an earlier structure and features 19th-century extensions. The building is timber framed and plastered, with sections of red brick, topped by a red plain tile roof that is half hipped to the east. It has two storeys and an L-shaped plan, with a gabled crosswing at the north-west end. The original part of the house has a two-window range with 19th-century casements, while the 19th-century wing includes various 19th-century casements and vertical sliding sashes. A late 16th-century red brick chimney stack is also present.
