Description

White Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 19th and 20th-century extensions. It is timber framed and plastered, with a roof covered in 20th-century red clay tiles. The building consists of three bays aligned approximately east-west, positioned at right angles to the road. There is a chimney stack located in the middle bay to the north of the ridge. Lean-to extensions are present on both sides, dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. At the northeast corner, there is a single-storey flat-roofed workshop. The cottage is single-storey with attics and features a tiled gabled porch on the west elevation, along with one 20th-century casement window on the ground floor and another on the upper floor. The roof is half-hipped at both ends. No interior access was available for inspection in March 1983.
