Description
TL 50 NE WILLINGALE Farmbuildings to 5/120 immediate north of Wardens Hall GV II
Livestock building, granary, barn and waggon shed, late C18 and early C19. A 'U' shaped court of farmbuildings facing the main front of Warden's Hall. To the west is a late C18 livestock building of red diapered flemish bond brickwork with hipped variegated pantile roof and a mixture of flat and segmental arch toped openings. The south wall has a diamond shaped group of ventilator holes. At its rear, an integral lean-to calf house with high level ventilation slits and pierces wall base to allow under-floor ventilation. The long northern frontage is composed of red brick granary hay loft building of early C19 with pantile roof and lean-to to south and a long C18 barn. The latter is again pantile roofed, with 2 gabled midstreys to the court and is clad in black weatherboarding. The return block to east is part waggon shed and .part workshop/engine shed, of early C19 red brick with hipped peg tile roof. Red brick wall links end of courtyard blocks enclosing stock yard.
