Description
Archendines Farmhouse is a 18th century building with a front elevation that reflects this period, while it forms a parallel range at the rear that is older. The farmhouse has a square plan and features two ridged and gabled roofs covered with peg tiles, with the front range having a parapet. The elevations are rendered and painted, showcasing a five-window range of double floor small paned sashes with exposed boxes. The central window on the first floor has a semi-circular head. On the ground floor, there are two matching sashes on either side of the central front door, which consists of six fielded panels set in a wide wooden case topped with a flat leaded hood. There are modern single-storey extensions on both the left and right sides. The rear range is notable for its heavy side purlin roof.
