Description

Plummers Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1500 or earlier, constructed with a timber frame. It stands two storeys high and has three bays with exposed framing. The roof is ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles, and features a red brick chimney stack near the centre of the ridge, as well as another chimney against the west end. There is a lean-to along the north elevation and an outshut at the west end of the first storey. The heavy frame does not have external wind bracing, and the roof includes side purlins. On the first storey, there are three leaded casement windows. The central front door is accompanied by a modernised tripartite window on the right side of the ground storey and a set of three casements on the left.
