Description

Valley Cottage is a house dating from approximately 1840 to 1850. It is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, laid on a rectangular plan. The house is two storeys high and has a hipped roof covered in slate, with eaves featuring troughing, and a central chimney stack constructed of red brick. The first storey has two hornless sash windows with small panes, interspersed with three decorative terracotta panels. The ground storey has two matching windows with segmental brick arches, and a centrally placed modern front door.
