Description

Yew Tree House is a house dating from about 1840. It is constructed of red brick with grey brick headers in a Flemish bond pattern to the ground floor, while the first floor is tile-hung. The roof is tiled, with a hipped form. The building is L-shaped and has two storeys and three windows. A wide bracketed eaves cornice runs around the building. The central window is a 12-pane sash with thin glazing bars, while the end windows are 16-pane sashes. A central doorcase contains a six-panelled door and a rectangular fanlight above. The ground floor windows are accentuated by channelled keystones. There is one dormer window with a casement, and tall brick chimneystacks are located at each end of the building.
