Description

The Windmill Hotel is an early 19th-century building located on London Road in Copford. It is constructed of grey gault brick and features a grey slate hipped roof. The hotel stands three storeys tall and includes cellars. The façade has a three-window range, with vertical sliding double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars. The ground floor windows are recessed and topped with semi-circular arches. The front is adorned with pilasters, and there is an Ionic porch supported by four detached columns, which are moulded and dentilled, and has a flat canopy. There is a modern extension to the east of the building.
