Description
Vine Cottage and 2 and 3 Turkey Cock Cottages are a 15th-century hall house featuring two crosswings. The building is constructed with a timber frame, plastered and brick-clad, topped with a red plain tile roof. Both wings have gabled roofs and were originally jettied, although they are now underbuilt. The property has a range of three modern and 19th-century casement windows. A central chimney stack, added in the mid-16th century, has four octagonal shafts. Most of the original frame is intact, showcasing stop-chamfered joists, diagonal mullioned windows, and simple crown post roofs in the crosswings. There are also two new chimney stacks located to the east of each crosswing.
