Description

Wayside is an 18th-century house located on the south side of London Road in Stanway. It is constructed of painted brick and features a red plain tile half-hipped roof. The front of the house has three windows, which are 19th-century double-hung vertical sliding sashes. There is a central doorcase that includes moulded architraves, a semi-circular blocked fanlight, and a flat moulded head supported by brackets. At the rear, there are 19th-century extensions that have modern casement windows and weatherboarding. The south side of the property includes a single-storey stable range with a hay loft, also made of painted brick and topped with a red plain tile roof. There is one modern flat-roofed dormer and three 18th-century semi-circular windows.
